Electric Castle, the event that redefined the festival landscape in Romania, is celebrating its fourth edition July 14 to 17 2016, with a full roster of incredible acts and activities. This year’s festival will feature over 170 artist performing on eight stages across four days to include Sigur Ros, Skrillex, Bastille, Bring Me The Horizon, Gorgon City, Gui Boratto, Elliphant and many more.
Electric Castle is a four-day music festival that takes place on the spectacular Transylvanian domain of the Bánffy Castle, near Cluj-Napoca in Romania. Since its first edition in 2013, the festival was shortlisted every year for the Best Medium Sized Festival Category at the European Festival Awards. Electric Castle Festival is a unique, mind-blowing experience, shaking up the way people interact with music by combining a visually innovative concept with an eclectic musical line-up, breaking the boundaries between electronic music, rock music and reggae music. It’s the only music festival in Romania to offer a complete and authentic experience through notorious international artists, a vast camping area, a diverse food court and exceptional scenery.
Electric Castle takes place at the legendary `Versailles of Transylvania`, the name given to the 15th Century Banffy Castle in Bontida. Proceeds from the festival are used year after year to help restore the castle to its former glory – and the castle itself is a main protagonist of this year’s event, with guided tours, but also a spectacular live 3D projection on its walls!
Electric Castle festival’s fourth edition at Banffy Castle, Cluj will feature top artists, a journey of musical discovery and a legendary edition for all those who believe “WE ARE THE PEOPLE”!
