Lt. Deauntay Diggs, who serves in the sheriff’s office of Stafford County, Virginia, has regularly danced in uniform at events and fundraisers at the school and in the local area.
As Billboard reports, his appearance at a pep rally at North Stafford High School on Friday (October 14) has generated much interest online after attendees filmed the officer dancing to Beyoncé’s ‘Formation’, taken from her recent album ‘Lemonade’.

As local news station WDAM points out, Diggs has previously performed a well-received dance routine before a high school football game in the area. The officer is also known for being the first openly gay deputy to serve with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, where he has worked since 2008.

Beyoncé recently used ‘Formation”s lyrics to encourage her fans to vote in the upcoming Presidential Election in the US.
Speaking on stage at the Tidal X 1015 concert at New York’s Barclays Center on Saturday (October 15), she implored the audience and those watching online to use their voices in the election. “Please go out and vote this November. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice, we have to use it. Get in formation. Use our voices to do something great for our children.”
